Pappa Nick's Learning Corner Part II

Hi kids it's time for the next installment of Pappa Nick's Learning Corner. This weeks topic is something very near and dear to not only my heart but many of yours as well... Tequila! Did you know that Tequila is the only spirit that was invented in the new world? It was invented because a group of Conquistadors in Mexico ran out of Brandy and in a drunken panic began looking for any liquid they could use as an alcoholic beverage. Lucky for them the Aztec were also boozers and had already developed a beer like beverage from the Agave plant which grew natively in the region. Upon trying this beverage, the Conquistadors liked how it tasted but did not like how long it took them to get drunk so they decided to distilled the shit out of it until it could adequately get them as drunk as a kickball team on a Thursday night, and the rest is history...
